sexual misconduct of the middle classes

Sophia recently wrapped her first off-Broadway production, understudying the role of Annie in Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes. This production, starring Hugh Jackman and Ella Beatty, played in rep at Audible’s Minetta Lane Theater, in partnership with Together Theatre Co. The partnership marks the start of a new theatre initiative towards accessible ticket prices, stripped down production, and community outreach — spearheaded by Sonia Friedman, Hugh Jackman, and director Ian Rickson.

THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT ARE DYING

Sophia also recently appeared in a one night only, benefit reading of There Are People That Are Dying by Justine Gelfman & Elizabeth O’Donnell — an adaptation of King Lear inspired by episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Proceeds from the reading went to IndieSpace, a company founded to protect and support independent theatre in NYC. This reading, featuring Sherie Rene Scott as Lear, was directed by Justine Gelfman, produced Gemma Josephine, and was held at Dixon Place on June 23rd.
